Putting out 7"s is a labor of love, without a doubt - no ones getting rich selling 45s that's for sure. But for me, there is nothing better than a two sided, all killer, no filler, 45rpm record. And so, despite it being the worst business plan, I keep putting out mostly debut 7"s from great bands I've seen live in Chicago, trying to do my part to get put these bands out there, and to keep this format alive.
So, for the new Yolks 7", I decided to do something I haven't done before. I figure nowadays 7" records are already a pretty niche product, so why not lean into that? Why not make it so that the artwork is actually a work of art, each cover screen printed by hand, with some cool mini-variations of paper and ink color, to reflect how rare and special each of these records really are.
So, I encourage you to grab one of these limited editions. They took me many, many hours to silk screen, cut and put together, so they are a little more expensive, but in the end they well worth it considering how great they look. If they are a little too expensive for your taste, don't worry! You can get the good old fashioned black and white printed sleeves for $5.50 here, and get the same great music for a lower price. Either way, you win!
